What we need and
why. Donations fall into
two categories
- We can use it or sell it
2. We can't use it or sell it.
Naturally, we'd like to collect items we
can use or sell and The best way to determine this is to look at
our
List of
Needed Supplies, Tools, and Materials. If it's not there it
doesn't mean we can't use it!
Call or
email us.
Useable donations usually fall
into three categories:
- Surplus or collected new items.
- Used items in good condition. And,
- items you want to buy (new or used) for
us.
The surplus, collected, and used items on
our list require no feedback from us. Send it! We're grateful. If
it's not on our list please give us a
call or shoot us an
email chances are we need it.
If you are considering helping us by buying
listed or unlisted items, give us a
call or shoot us an
email first
to see if it makes more sense economically to
buy it for us or
to send a
financial gift to purchase it here.
With shipping, warranty, exchange if broken,
and exchange rates factored in, it is sometimes far better to buy
the goods here. It just depends on what it is.
The Process:
| We
appreciate your willingness to donate your goods or services. Here are a
few things to keep in mind. |
| 1.
View the list of current needs and select the need that you will be able to fill. If you can only partially
fulfill a need or if you think you have something we'll need that's fine too. |
| 2.
Email us
giving the details about what you can donate. Be sure to include a
telephone number in your email. |
| 3. We'll let you know the location of the warehouse nearest to you
for shipping or drop off. We have regular
shipments scheduled. |
| 4. Clearly label the contents and the quantity of each item contained
within each box. |
| 5. Ship/drop off your donation to the assigned shipment location.
Please include your estimate of their fair market value. |
| 6. We'll send you a receipt. Your items are tax deductible at fair
market value. |
| 7. We'll pack your items together with other donations and send them
to Honduras. |
