Text Box:     Cristian Joel Banegas Ramos         Cristian came to the Good Shepherd Children’s Home March 30, 2001. He was born October 3, 1999.        At birth, Christian weighed only about 5 lbs. and was very weak and sickly. After he left the hospital he went to live with his 19-year-old mother. She worked as a live-in maid and it was difficult for her to work and take care of him also. A short time after Cristian was born her employer would not allow her to have him with her. Because she could not care for him properly she gave him away to her sister’s in-laws. Eight months later she went to visit him and found him in a great state of malnutrition. She took him away from them and had to put him in the hospital where he remained for 6 months.       Though still underweight he is making great progress here at the GSCH. He still at times gets sick easily but with God’s help he is becoming stronger each day.        Cristian started life fighting and has struggled every step of the way. Here he is receiving the love and nurturing that he needs to move forward in life to grow stronger, not only physically but spiritually as well.         Cristian needs your help not only in prayer but also financially.
