Hector Javier Casco Izaguirre
Hector came to live at the Good Shepherd Children’s Home March 30, 2001. He was born March 9, 1999. Hector is a very sweet little boy and is a joy to have here.
Hector’s mother is a drug addict and earns her living in an immoral way. His mother felt that she could find proper work in another city so left him in the hands of her younger sister, who was only 15 at the time. Once she found new work she seldom would return to visit him. Eventually she lost her job but continued her other line of work in the new city. After some time of taking care of Hector, the sister grew tired of him. She ran off with her boyfriend and left him alone in the small run-down apartment. After a couple of days of hearing his screams, the neighbors called the police and found him alone with nothing in the house to eat, not even milk for his bottle.
Hector was removed from the home and when his mother finally came to visit found the house empty. She eventually found that he was in the custody of Child Social Services and her sister was nowhere to be found.
Here at the GSCH Hector is learning that God loves him and saw his need. For that reason he was found and his future changed. Hector still needs your help not only through prayer but also in financial support. For just $25 per month, you can help supply the food, shelter, clothing, education, medical and dental care he needs. Can Hector count on you to help him have a happy and meaningful life?
