Jeimy Leticia Mejia Zelaya

Jeimy came to the Good Shepherd Children’s Home in Sept of 2002. She is about 9 years old and her date of birth is unknown to us at this time. Jeimy is a very sweet little girl who is a bit shy. Some of her shyness is due to problems in her past.
Jeimy has suffered abuse for most of her life. Her father would beat her with his fists and abuse her in many other horrible ways.
When Jeimy first came to us we were told that she was very rebellious. She made that very clear to us when we brought her here to this home. Jeimy made it perfectly clear she did not have any plan to try and fit in with the other children. She stayed off to herself and when someone would talk to her she would ignore them or roll her eyes and answer rudely.
After just 3 weeks in the GSCH Jeimy began to change. She began to answer in a kinder manner when she was spoken to. She also began to give and accept hugs. She now even comes running to give those hugs and happy greetings.
Jeimy is learning about God’s Love for her and that His love is changing her life. It may take time for this healing to be complete but it has begun.
Jeimy still needs your help not only in prayer but also in financial support. For just $25 per month you can help provide her food, shelter, clothing, education, medical and dental care that she needs. Can Jeimy count on you to help provide the necessities for her to have a happy and meaningful life?
