Text Box: Karen Sarahi Cruz

Sarahi came to the Good Shepherd Children’s Home in January of 2002. She was born December 18, 2000. She lives here with her older brother Jorge.
Not much is known about Sarahi except that she and her brother lived with their mother since their father was not willing to be a part of their lives. Her mother is a victim of the aids virus. Sarahi and Jorge have been tested a couple of times and their results are always negative.
When Sarahi and Jorge arrived at the GSCH it became obvious that they both had suffered from physical abuse. Movements such as reaching in front of them or reaching out to hug them caused them to throw up their hands and duck their head down to protect themselves. Now, after only a short time, they have overcome this fear and come to accept being loved with open arms. Both she and her brother love to receive the love that is so freely given here at the GSCH.
Sarahi and Jorge are very close. To see them together is so precious as they often walk hand in hand.
Sarahi still needs your help not only in prayer but also in financial support. For just $25 per month, you can help provide the food, shelter, clothing, education, medical and dental care she needs. Can Sarahi depend on you to help provide the necessities for her to have a happy and meaningful life?
