Linda Michelle Reyes Ramos
Michelle came to live at the Good Shepherd Children’s Home in June of 2003. She was born Aug.16, 1993 She is actually a former resident of the GSCH for 3 months in 1999. She was returned to her family along with her younger brother.
Papi Greg was in IHNFA on visitation day when he heard someone calling his name. He looked around to find his children visiting with their families. Looking in the direction of a group of young children awaiting to be placed in homes he noticed Michelle and called her over. She explained that she had run away from home because she was being abused by her mother and father.
Papi Greg asked where she was going to be placed and she asked him if she could please return to the GSCH. Of course Papi Greg talked with her case worker and arranged for Michelle to find shelter in the GSCH once more.
While in her home she suffered the abuse of domestic violence. Her parents often left the home for days at a time. At times they would beat Michelle for doing something wrong and make her kneel on coke bottle caps.
Michelle has told IHNFA that she does not want to see her parents or return to them again. Because of her suffering Michelle is very quiet and withdrawn but in time she can become all that God wants her to be.
To do this Michelle needs your help not only in prayer but also in financial support. For just $25 per month, you can help supply the food, shelter, clothing, education, medical and dental care she needs. Can Michelle count on you to help provide the necessities for her to have a happy and meaningful life?
