Text Box: Maria Vianey Sanchez Cano       Maria came to live at the Good Shepherd Children’s Home February 2, 2000. She was born July 23, 1993. She lives here with her younger siblings Karina and Carlito. She is a very sweet girl and very soft-spoken. Maria is a very good student and really enjoys school. She obeys very well and seldom gets into trouble.       Maria comes from a very poor family and she has five siblings. Three of them live with other family members or are on their own. Her father is an alcoholic and works at times in the coffee fields or begs on the streets. Her mother, who is also an alcoholic, is incapable of caring for her children. The walls and roof of the family home is made of wood, sticks, and cardboard and it also has dirt floors. There is no electricity, water or bathroom facilities inside or even an outhouse.       God has placed Maria here at the GSCH where she is learning that God loves her and wants her to be happy. She is now a Christian and growing in the Lord each day. She is very happy to be here with her other siblings whom she tries hard to take care of.       Maria needs your help not only in prayer but also in financial support.
