The children often had to dig in the garbage looking for something to eat due to living in severe poverty. The home was found to be very run down without any bathroom facilities and only one bed with a deteriorated mattress that had a very unpleasant odor.
Ruth and her siblings where taken into protective custody and were in a state of mal-nourishment. They have recovered well and hold a promising future here. They are growing in the Lord each day and learning more about Him. Because of the past abuse they are beginning to heal.
Ruth is a very sweet girl. If you speak to her she just beams with a beautiful smile. She is so happy to be here safe with her siblings. She is in school now and doing very well.
