Biographical History: Elvia came to live at the Good Shepherd Children?s Home on March 22, 2001. Elvia was born on October 25, 1996. She lives here with her older sister Lourdes and her little brother Jorge. Elvia and her siblings were found by child services living under a bridge, after Hurricane Mitch devastated much of Honduras. They had an older brother who died from food poison and an older sister who ran away. Often their mother would abandon them while she would go out each day to try to sell candy on the street corner. The children were very afraid because of the dangerous conditions. Their father eventually died of unknown causes. Elvia is a sweet little girl with a precious smile. She is shy, but is becoming more outgoing and loves to receive attention. Elvia needs your help not only in prayer but also financially.
